Privacy Policy

Thank you for trusting us with your information. In plain, everyday language, this policy explains what we collect through our website, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. If anything here is ever unclear, please reach out, we would love to talk with you.

1. Introduction

Life in Christ Shalom (operating as LINC Shalom Church) is a registered Canadian charity, CRA Registered Charity No. 72847 2614 RR0001, located at 355 Howden Blvd, Brampton, ON L6S 4L6, Canada.

We wrote this policy because your trust means everything to us. Whether you are making a donation, sending a prayer request, or simply browsing our website, we want you to know exactly how your personal information is handled.

2. Information We Collect

We keep things simple: we only collect information you choose to share with us, plus a small amount of anonymous website statistics.

  • Contact details – your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, for example when you get in touch or need a charitable tax receipt.
  • Donation information – processed securely through our payment providers (more on that below).
  • Prayer requests – whatever you choose to share when you ask us to pray for you. We handle these with special care and confidentiality.
  • Anonymous analytics data – general, non-identifying information about how visitors use our site, collected through Google Analytics 4.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you share for straightforward, honest purposes:

  • To respond to your messages, questions, and prayer requests.
  • To issue official charitable tax receipts, as required by Canadian tax law.
  • To understand how our website is used so we can keep improving it for you.

We will never use your information for anything you have not agreed to.

4. Payment Processing

When you give online, your payment is handled securely by trusted providers, Stripe and PayPal. If you give by card, your card details are entered only on Stripe’s secure checkout pages. Our church never sees, handles, or stores your card numbers.

We also gratefully receive gifts by Interac e-Transfer and by cheque. We keep donation records as required by Canadian tax law so we can issue your official tax receipts.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in general terms, how people use our website, for example, which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. This information is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.

If you would rather not be included, you can turn off cookies in your browser settings at any time. Our website will continue to work just fine.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information – ever. We share information only when we genuinely need to:

  • With trusted service providers who help us run the website and process donations, such as our payment processors, and only the information they need to do their job.
  • When the law requires it, such as responding to a lawful request from authorities.

7. Your Rights Under Canadian Privacy Law

Under Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if anything is wrong, and to withdraw your consent for us to use it at any time.

To do any of these, simply email [email protected] or call 705-653-8999, we will be glad to help.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for a general audience, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will take care of it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy & Contact

From time to time we may update this policy as our website or practices change. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Last updated: October 2026.
