My name is Vishwas Masih, and I come from a small village in Punjab, District Jalandhar (India). In 2015, while working at CMC Hospital in Ludhiana, my pastor, Salim Khan, repeatedly told me, “Brother, you have a calling to serve the Lord.”
At that time, I did not take his words seriously. I believed that serving God meant supporting the church financially. Even when I shared my plans to move to Canada, he said, “You will go, but you must serve the Lord.” Still, I did not fully understand.
I moved to Canada in August 2015. Years passed, yet every conversation with my pastor returned to the same message-my calling. I continued to ignore it.
In December 2018, he spoke to me again with conviction. I respectfully replied,
“Pastor, I honor your words, but if the Lord wants me to serve Him, He must speak to me directly.”
That day, he prayed: “Lord, I have conveyed what You told me. Now You speak to Brother Vishwas Yourself.”
Two months later, in February 2019, everything changed.
After a night shift, as I lay resting, I had a divine encounter. I saw the Lord Jesus Christ standing beside my bed. Two others stood silently with Him. The Lord spoke to me:
“Why are you not serving Me? I have spoken to you many times.”
I was speechless. Then He said:
“Do you think no one will listen to you? Even My disciples did not believe Me at first. Yet I completed the work My Father gave Me. Now go and share My Good News.”
I woke up filled with indescribable joy. Wanting confirmation, I opened my Bible and prayed, “Lord, if this was truly You, confirm it through Your Word.” The passage I opened was 1 Corinthians 9:16-23:
“Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!”

The very next Sunday, my wife and I both felt led-at the same moment-to attend a church we hadn't visited in a long time. While sitting there, I prayed silently: “Lord, if You want me to preach here, let the pastor invite me. I will not ask.”
After the service, the pastor came directly to me, shook my hand, and said: “Brother, will you preach next Sunday?”
In that moment, I knew. The Lord had confirmed His calling again. And I sensed Him say:
“You asked Me twice for confirmation-I am confirming it again. Now go and preach.”
This is how Life in Christ Shalom (LINC Shalom) began. Not by human planning, but by divine calling.
God is still calling.
God is still speaking.
God is still transforming lives.
If He could call me, He can call you.
